Rose, otherwise known as the ‘Cheap Lazy Vegan’, is a Canadian youtuber whose focus is to promote a vegan lifestyle in a way that is both approachable and affordable. Some of her most popular videos are her $20 Vegan Meal Prep for 7 days of food. And she even has ebooks for affordable vegan recipes!
The Viet Vegan
Lisa, known on Youtube as The Viet Vegan, is a self-proclaimed “vegan, feminist, and nerdy Vietnamese Canadian.” She resides just outside of Toronto, and her content focuses on making vegan food that isn’t boring, but full of flavour! For example, her popular video on how to make vegan lentil patties with sriracha and a tahini sauce is absolutely delicious.
Hot for Food
Lauren Toyota is the woman behind Hot for Food. She’s a Torontonian who is dedicated to breaking misconceptions about vegan food being boring by providing vegan versions of popular comfort foods like burgers, mac and cheese, onion rings, and stuffed-crust pizza! Her best-selling cookbook, Vegan Comfort Classics: 101 Recipes To Feed Your Face, was also voted best cookbook in the 2018 Veggie Awards!

Derek, the creator behind Simnett Nutrition, is a vegan Youtuber from Vancouver Island. He is dedicated to motivating and inspiring others to live their best (and healthiest!) lives. In addition to plenty of vegan recipe videos, he also provides awesome fitness tips and advice.
Maddie Lymburner
Maddie Lymburner, otherwise known as MadFit on her popular fitness accounts, is a Canadian Youtuber who provides detailed nutrition and fitness advice. She also has a great plant-based cookbook, The Wholesome Eats Cookbook: 100+ Healthy Plant-Based Meals for Everyday Cooking.
The Edgy Veg
Candice’s channel, The Edgy Veg, is all about revolutionizing how people think about food, feminism, and eco-conscious living. She is the Canadian author of 138 Carnivore-Approved Vegan Recipes, a cookbook that provides vegan recipes with a comedic twist. Our favourite series on her Youtube channel is ‘You’ll never Cook the Same Way Again’. In this series, she teaches viewers how to enhance common dishes by showing her unique cooking techniques.
Vegan Lovlie
Teenuja and Kevin are a Montreal-based couple that love creating vegan recipes with a Mauritian touch. For those who are unaware, Mauritian cuisine is described as being a blend of Chinese, European, and Indian influences within the Mauritian context. Their cooking style is both unique and educational, with delicious dishes such as Mauritian-style sauteed cabbage with potatoes.
Mary’s Test Kitchen
Mary Lin was raised in Vancouver, and currently resides in Calgary. Her Youtube channel, Mary’s Test Kitchen, is all about tasty vegan recipes, What I Ate Today’s and deep dives into how to make the very best vegan staples. One of her most popular videos is her gluten-free vegan fried chicken. She even teaches viewers how to make their own tofu, a truly amazing recipe that our team uses regularly!
